Privacy notice

What we collect, why, where it is processed and how you export or delete it.
Draft — finalised once the company and payment provider are confirmed. Last updated 4 November 2026.

Who is responsible

The controller will be the Proofoak company once registered. Its legal name, address and registration number will appear here before paid plans open.

What we collect

Account data (email, sign-in method), your profile (skills, time, budget, languages, markets), project materials you create or upload, evidence records you add, billing status from our payment provider, and minimal technical logs.

We don’t ask for phone numbers, CVs or sensitive data the work doesn’t need. Project text is not sent to analytics.

Why we use it

To provide the workspace, run the jobs you request, keep your history and versions, secure the service, and handle billing. We don’t sell your data.

Processors

Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, sign-in and account email), Anthropic (AI model provider for Idea Checks and research) and Stripe (payments, tax and invoices). Regions and transfer safeguards will be listed here before paid plans open. An EU database region does not by itself mean every processor is in the EU.

AI processing

When you start an Idea Check, the idea and the limits you enter are sent to Anthropic only to write that report; Anthropic’s commercial API terms do not use API inputs to train models. Reports can include public web pages found during research. Text in files and web pages is treated as data, never as instructions.

Retention, export and deletion

You can export your work at any time. When a paid plan ends, your account returns to Free and your projects, Idea Checks and evidence stay readable and exportable. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete its data; some billing records are kept by our payment provider to meet legal obligations.

Your rights and contact

Export your data yourself at any time from Account → Export data. Request access, correction or deletion through the contact form (topic: My data), using the email address of your account.
