Find what buyers actually complain about.
- 01
Name the niche
Who you want to sell to — “small physiotherapy clinics”, “Shopify shops with 500+ products” — and, if you like, the problem to focus on.
- 02
We read what they say
Live search across forums, Q&A and review sites. Short quotes are copied exactly and linked; usernames are never shown.
- 03
You get the pains, ranked
Each pain with its intensity, a real quote, who said it, what they already pay for and the words they use.
- 04
Turn it into a test
Three offer angles, where the buyers talk, and one click into an Idea Check and a 10-day test with real buyers.
A complaint is a signal, not a sale.
That’s why every report separates what people complain about from what they already pay for — and ends with a test, not a verdict.

Is this a GummySearch alternative?
In part. GummySearch closed to new users in 2025. Pain Finder covers the core job — real complaints with sources — and then goes further: it turns the strongest pains into offer angles and a test you can run with real buyers.
Where do the quotes come from?
From public pages found by live web search: Quora, Hacker News, Indie Hackers, community forums, and review sites such as Trustpilot, G2, Capterra and app stores. Some sites, including Reddit, block automated research tools, so they are not searched. Every quote links to its source so you can read it in context.
Do complaints prove that people will pay?
No. A complaint shows a problem exists. Signs of money — what people say they pay, tools they bought and dropped, services they hired — are listed separately, and the real proof is a test with buyers.
How many searches do I get?
Free includes 1 search a month, Build 10 and Launch 30. A search that fails for a technical reason is not counted.
Do you show who wrote each post?
No. We describe the type of person (for example “owner of a small Shopify shop”) and never show usernames or names.
Find the pain. Then test the offer.
